Summer Love

Summer Love focuses heavily on color, shape, and feeling. I try to capture the emotions of the summers throughout my life. Love, heartbreak, dreams, peaks and valleys.

My $meme drop is an exploration into another style that I have been developing over the past 2 years. It focuses heavily on color, shape, and feeling. I try to capture the emotions of the summers throughout my life. Love, heartbreak, dreams, peaks and valleys.

About Parrott_ism

What first got you into NFT art?

A friend of mine told me about SuperRare a bit over a year ago, then I quickly fell in love with the technology and community. I jumped headfirst into the rabbithole and never looked back.

How did you initially hear about $MEME?

I saw mentions of it on twitter, the first time I used the website itself was for one of Fewocious’ first drops.

What do you find interesting about what the $MEME project is doing?

I love that it teaches the NFT community more about staking, defi and more finance-esque techniques. $MEME really helped to teach me about staking!

What excites you about NFTs and/or DeFi?

I hate a middleman. NFTs dissolve barriers between creators and consumers. Defi dissolves barriers between money and users.

Where will NFT art be in 3 years?

No idea, I’m sure it will be everywhere. It’s already so much further than I ever thought it could go in a year, it’s hard to imagine what the next 2–3 years will look like. I’m very excited to see what happens. We’re still so early.

What’s next for you as a digital artist?

Before NFTs I never thought I would be able to support myself from my creations alone. Now that I can, I plan to do some of the crazy art projects I only dreamed of. I want to push my art as far as it can go, use AI, AR, VR and more to help drive art into the future.

Describe Creative Process — Anything special here? Anything you’d like readers to know about you as an artist?

I create because I have to. I’ve found music production and 3D art to be the fastest way to explore ideas and narratives I have floating in my head. Each piece of art is a snapshot of my soul. This drop is special to me, as it uses a more illustrative and toon-ish style than what I’m known for. I find it a great medium to express through colors and emotions. I hope the viewer can partake in the feelings of summer and nostalgia that I’ve gathered.
