$MEME Artist Drop 4 — with an OG Crypto Artist, BigComicArt
Stake $MEME to earn exclusive NFTs from BigComicArt
Next up in the $MEME Artist Series, we’re featuring the works of Jake Johns’ (aka BigComicArt). BigComicArt is an award winning artist who has traveled the world in the pursuit and study of art. His projects include anti-Communism propaganda, extreme comic art, and the pursuit of anti-traditionalism.
⏰ Dropping Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 13:37 EST.

This portrait of a Pineapple was unearthed in a mother-in-law’s attic. Its value is surely priceless and can fetch a fair value. It was attributed to the great-great-great @bigcomicart collection
The Drop
BigComicArt has created 4 new exclusive NFTs in the $MEME collab.
As usual, 3 of these pieces will go into a pool where you can stake $MEME. Deposit any amount up to 5 tokens and you’ll earn points where can mint a brand-new, exclusive MEME x BCA NFT.
Also, one final piece is up for auction. Like we’ve done before, 80% will go to the artist, 10% to the MEME dev fund, and 10% to charity. Jake has selected Binance Charity Foundation as the recipient of the charity proceeds.
Note: Like the previous artist drop, to ensure support for the artists and future project development, we have enabled minting fees to some of the items in the staking pool. Minting fees are denominated in ETH and taken at time of NFT minting.

$MEME Artist Series 4
Artist bio:
I was born in Kansas (Superman’s home) at a time when comics were mainstream in America. The comics taught us as children the values of all of our cultures, ideas, races, religions, differences coming together. The American dream which is now the 🌎 ‘s dream. I went to art school, worked for and taught at major art institutions across the US and in Asia, worked for the entertainment industry (Walt Disney) and traveled the world making art. Now, I make comics for the world with Block-Chain technology, because I believe in the power of humour to bring us all together in this crazy mixed-up world.
Starting Tuesday, $MEME holders can begin to stake and start mining these rare NFTs. The BigComicArt pool is a brand new pool. No LP tokens are needed.

The pineapple represents a sort of hidden love in the image, even in returning into atmosphere. The concept of a hidden wealth in an image is far beyond our art histories. Do you understand the context of the🍍 and the possibilities of the future?
Meet the Artist
Jordan Lyall caught up with Jake to ask what attracted him to a collaboration with $MEME:
Jordan: What first got you into NFT art?
Jake: I’ve been making artwork since I was 8 years old. I usually try to make artworks everyday. I believe it is important work. It has taken me all over the world. I was invited initially by a young group of guys calling themselves SuperRare to create artwork on the blockchain. I then experimented with creating my own tokens for my art, applying block-chain technology to my artwork in different ways.
Jordan: How did you initially hear about $MEME?
Jake: You know, social media has exploded with memes to help us express ourselves. It’s really quite an intriguing thing, and it’s only natural that a MEME blockchain token should come forth. I actually heard your concept which is basically what I’ve been working on with an art project through the last few years where we are trading digital works of art. Then I just happened to be at a Virtual Reality meet-up! Token Smart this group calls themselves. An amazing group of tech savvy intellectuals, they meet-up and talk about new technology and blockchain uses. They host these awesome stages filled with artists, musicians, designers, mashed together with financial mindsets, coders, developers and block-chain businesses. It’s really an intriguing environment that brings everyone together to understand where everyone is coming from. Really amazing community mash-up. This field is still so new and foreign to a lot of people, so it’s groundbreaking stuff. Really really cutting-edge first class.
Jordan: What do you find interesting about what the $MEME project is doing?
Jake: Your tech savvy background brings an interesting economy to this art where we can all participate in amazing ways. The economy that creates rewards financially in the community. Artwork is the secret to life, the pineapple speaks.
Jordan: What else excites you about NFTs and/or DeFi?
Jake: NFTs become works of art, DeFi creates an economy for art.
Jordan: Where will NFT art be in 3 years?
Jake: NFT will not be a relevant term. It will just be art.
Jordan: What’s next for you as a digital artist? I will continue to make artwork for the world 🌎. It is a great calling. #btc $MEME (Pineapple) ✌☮
