$MEME Artist Drop 2 — Featuring Jon Noorlander

Stake $MEME to earn exclusive NFTs from Swedish 3D digital artist, Jon Noorlander

The MEME team is proud to unveil our third drop in the exclusive $MEME Artist Series. This time, we’re featuring the works of 3D digital artist, Jon Noorlander. Jon has created 4 new exclusive works in the collab.

Three of these pieces will go into a staking pool. To mint these NFTs, you must first stake $MEME tokens. Lock any amount up to 5 tokens. Over time, you’ll earn some points and you can mint a brand-new, exclusive MEME x JON NFT.

One final piece is up for auction. Like the previous MEME auctions, 80% will go to the artist, 10% to the MEME dev fund, and 10% to charity. Jon has selected Save the Children as the recipient of the charity proceeds.

Note: To support the artists and project development, we are enabling minting fees to some of the items in the staking pool. Minting fees are denominated in ETH and taken at time of NFT minting.

$MEME Artist Series 2

As the Meme community continues to push the boundaries of DeFi + crypto art, we’re happy to announce our next exclusive artist collection.

Jon Noorlander is a 3D digital artist originally hailing from Sweden. Originally planning on becoming an architect, Jon discovered 3D technology around 20 years ago and fell in love with it. You can follow Jon on Twitter and Instagram.

Starting today, $MEME holders can begin to stake and start mining these rare NFTs. The Jon pool is a brand new pool. Again, no LP tokens are needed.

Meet the Artist

Jordan Lyall caught up with Jon to ask what attracted him to a collaboration with $MEME:

Jordan: What first got you into NFT art?

Jon: An email from Nifty Gateway a few months ago now.

Jordan: How did you initially hear about $MEME?

Jon: I’ve seen it around Twitter ever since my whole twitter stream became “crypto twitter”, and Eric DM’ed and asked if I wanted to be involved with an artist drop. And what can I say I love pineapple.

Jordan: What do you find interesting about what the $MEME project is doing?

Jon: I’m very intrigued where it can go, and to be honest I only understand around 1% of this whole crypto/Defi world, trying to catch up.

Jordan: What else excites you about NFTs and/or DeFi?

Jon: The potential of making a decent living out of it as an artist.

Jordan: Where will NFT art be in 3 years?

Jon: The new normal of purchasing art. And I do think VR/AR experience will explode.

Jordan: What’s next for you as a digital artist?

Jon: Bring my creations into real-time engines.
