1 of 1 NFT auction only on the $MEME platform

The Auction

Jose Delbo’s first ever “MEME Man” piece is a unique 1 of 1 animated NFT. Only the highest bidder will be able to claim this NFT at the end of the auction.

After 24 hours hours, last minute bids will trigger a 5 minute extension. If there are no bids in 5minutes, that auction is over.

Note: because the auction is all on-chain, all bids are made in increments. Any additional transaction you make add on to previous bids.

As is standard with $MEME auctions, 80% will go to the artist, 10% to the MEME dev fund, and 10% to charity. Jose Delbo has selected SheFi as the benefiting charity.

The Work

“MEME Man” is hand drawn by Jose Delbo. The coloring and animation was done by professional comic artist Blair Shedd.

The Artist

I am an Argentinian born artist who published my first work at the age of only 16. I was inspired by the American cowboy westerns, moved to the States and began work on classics like Billy the Kid, Judge Colt and the Lone Ranger. Then in the 70’s, I brought a host of television shows to comic book form with titles such as the The Twilight Zone, The Brady Bunch, Hogan’s Heroes, Buck Rogers, The Monkees and the Mod Squad.

Back in the 80’s, long before the modern superhero dominated the big screen, I worked for the likes of DC and Marvel Comics and penciled the published adventures of Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, The Transformers and The Thundercats. Then in the 90’s, when the focus fell on the environment, I helped the country go green when I drew the first issues of Captain Planet and the Planeteers and Brute Force. I continued my work with cartoon classics like Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Little Mermaid and the Mighty Ducks. When the NFL needed a superhero, I drew the NFL Superpro who ran around with Spiderman fighting crime in the big city.

My career took an important turn in July of 2020 when I released my first piece of digital art on the blockchain in the form of a 43 page original digital comic book called Death. Since then, I have had the pleasure of continuing to create pieces of digital art.
