What first got you into NFT art?
I first got into NFT art in the summer of 2020. Fellow artist and MLB player Micah Johnson and I collaborated on a piece showcasing George Floyd, back when Nifty Gateway first started having drops.
How did you initially hear about $MEME?
I first heard about $MEME after doing some research on Fewo. I noticed he had his drop on the platform. After looking more into $MEME, I’ve always wanted to be a part of a drop because their style of drop is very unique.
What do you find interesting about what the $MEME project is doing?
I love that $MEME is unique, and that they have their own fan base and community.
What excites you about NFTs and/or DeFi?
I think NFTS are the present and the future of Art.
Where will NFT art be in 3 years?
I wish I could answer this question, but I don’t think any of us know where NFT art will be in the next three years. We just know it will explode. So hopefully it’s mainstream.
What’s next for you as a digital artist?
I want to continue to create and raise awareness for bone marrow donation and continue to help save lives. Ultimately, I want to continue to grow and get better as an artist every day!
Describe Creative Process — Anything special here? Anything you’d like readers to know about you as an artist?
I draw my inspiration as an artist from personal experience as a professional athlete. The most rewarding aspect of my art is when people tell me they relate to my pieces, even if their experience with it is different than my own. We all have the same worries, the same dreams, etc., no matter what path we are on in life. Being able to connect with others through a platform is a blessing.

IM GONNA PAY U BACK
Devo’s Gerald Casale, AKA Jihad Jerry, collaborates with NFT OG Remo Camerota and Davy Force to bring you an NFT drop based on his latest music driven video art piece, “I’m Gonna Bay U Back”. “The process began deep in the heart of Covid 19, deep in lockdown. I collaborated with the infamous Josh Freese to create the song & Oingo Boingo’s, Steve Bartek, and Shadowparty’s, Josh Hager, lent their skills to make sure I stayed current (ha ha). There were no delusional commercial aspirations as this was pure Devolved art. So I sought out my favorite cutting edge video artist & director, Davy Force, to help create this visual dimensional concept, and the result is a stellar restoration of the idea of “video art” as it once was.
The NFT drop is a logical extension of this concept and the process. The NFT “objects” in this collection are taken from aspects of the technical, groundbreaking video by the unprecedented yet unrecognised graphic art genius, TOMO77 with pop animations & poster “objects” by multimedia visionary, REMO. Consider the drop our 21st century version of an art show. And if you think NFT’s are bad for the planet, research the malfeasance of the fossil fuel industry, corporate farming practices and weather warfare technology. Jihad Jerry is NOT the reason we’re all burning up!
